Setting New Standards to Gas Bottles in the Leisure Industry!
Truma are proud to announce their joint venture with BP, the largest provider of LPG in the UK, to bring to the caravan industry the highly innovative propane gas cylinder named 'BP Gas Light'.
This 'perfect partnership' plans to take the industry by storm with the lightweight, 5kg and 10kg translucent gas bottles, saving you approximately 50% of weight compared to that of the traditional steel cylinders when empty, giving caravan users the advantage of lower fuel consumption for vehicle towing or space for those luxury extras you've always wanted!
Truma feel that this is a huge opportunity to add a high quality addition to their ever-growing innovative and impressive range of reliable products. Truma believe that their newly found partnership with BP, created to offer the industry the revolutionary Gas Light cylinder will benefit the caravan and motorhome market immensely.
Truma have already been pro-active in ensuring this project gets off on the right foot and have employed a further member of the Truma team; Adam Shanley, BP Product Manager, who will be providing dealer support to Truma's already existing dealer network. Our dedicated sales team will ensure the smooth running of orders received from the dealer, to the distribution of the bottle between BP's distribution depot to the dealer.
The benefits of the Gas Light are huge, ranging from its semi-transparent appearance which enables you to view the level of gas inside the cylinder ensuring no more wastage of gas, to being approximately half the weight of its steel competition when empty. The Gas Light is easily manoeuvrable with an ultra solid handle to ensure an easy grip while offering total protection to the valve. The Gas Light is made of high performance corrosion-proof fibreglass-reinforced material and passes all European safety standards. The Gas Light bottle is also far more aesthetically pleasing to the eye than that of the traditional steel cylinders!
Accessories will be made available for the BP Gas Light to ensure a neat fit inside your gas locker with some manufacturers already set to change the design of their gas lockers for the new season to suit the style of the BP Gas Lights.
The Gas Light is fitted with a 27mm clip-on valve. This is much safer than the traditional screw fit valves as it is easily identifiable when the connector has fastened securely and there is no need to mess around with anymore spanners! Different style clip-on adapters to suit are also available from Truma.
The retail prices for the BP Gas Lights have been structured to be comparative to the steel cylinders. For both the 5kg and 10kg propane gas bottles, a one-off £25 deposit will be charged when the cylinder is first hired. For refills thereafter, the 5kg will cost £12.95 and the 10kg £16.50. If hire has been taken out on a 5kg bottle and you decide that when it's time to refill the bottle, you could do with a 10kg instead, there won't be a problem to swap the 5kg for a 10kg with your dealer or visa versa, as the deposit charge is the same for both size bottles. All you will need to pay for is the refill charge for the bottle you decide to take.
Where are we now? Truma are continuing to visit their dealer network to introduce the BP Gas Light and fulfil requirements that have been received. Truma have installed a BP Gas Line, (tel: 01283 586080) which is answered by the BP Sales Administrator, to handle enquiries for the BP Gas Light from the dealer or end user. For the end user, our sales administrator will provide details of their local stockist of the BP Gas Light which, over time will be an ever growing list!
